MODULE PROGRAMMING

What is Module Programming (FLASHING)?

Module Programming, also known as module flashing and module re-flashing.  A lot of automakers require that their modules to be programmed. They even require different components to be flashed (Instrument Clusters, Climate Controls, Brake Modules etc..... ). ECM, ECU, BCM, and PCM flashing, is the process of replacing the existing software in a vehicle controller with new software. Just like with a personal computer, sometimes it is necessary to perform a software update to fix issues and provide new functions. This is a service that allows the engine to be tuned in the same way that the factory calibration engineers perform the task. Module programming can fix issues but can also be done to help with fuel economy and performance.

Automotive Module Programming

CircuitMotive specializes in module programming, re-programming, and the setup, calibration, and initialization of new modules. We use much of the same equipment as OEMs, dealerships, and we also have equipment that allows us to do some reprogramming that dealerships don’t do. We can set up new electronic parts that require programming before they will function and we can also save you money by re-programming some modules that the dealership would otherwise replace.

Car computer flashing refers to the most recent manufacturer updates which will be programmed to your vehicles VIN. These software updates will help improve the performance and fuel economy of your vehicle. The ECM Programming service is performed on most OBD II (OBDII Vehicles).
